Personal income growth in Kansas is among the best in the nation

A new report from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis shows Kansas is 10th in the nation for personal income growth.

People in Kansas saw their personal income grow by 4.7 percent in the past year, about half a percent above the national average. The figure includes factors including wages and income from real estate. The booming agricultural sector has a lot to do with the solid numbers, said Dr. Stephen Pruitt, an economist at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Read more…
