Where is UMKC taking you?

I want to be a voice for other individuals. I want to help organizations and people work to take the step from education to implementation, especially in the areas of being multicultural and diverse. (He is a leader of UMKC’s Multicultural Student Organization Council).

Why did you chose UMKC?

I got a scholarship and was comfortable here. It’s a nice environment on campus. Upperclassmen help out younger classmen.

What do you admire most about UMKC?

The leadership. I know that I am well represented and that my voice will have an impact here.

Are you a first-generation college student?

Yes, it means I am a pilot for change.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever received from a professor?

You can’t let anything or anybody stand in the way of success, not even yourself.

What are your lifelong goals?

I want to own my own nonprofit school and center for at-risk teens. I want to continue to be a resource to other people.
