The City of Kansas City experienced a major water main break the evening of Aug. 25 on 51^st Street just west of Troost Avenue. The main was repaired in the early morning of Aug. 26 and only resulted in water outages to the General Services Building and the Central Cooling Plant. All buildings have normal water service.

There is a street closure on 51^st Street just west of Troost Avenue. Access to Parking Lots 9, 32E and 41 east of the Spencer Chemistry Building and Biological Sciences Building can still be attained on 51^st Street from Rockhill Road.
