Bobby Watson, celebrated jazz saxophonist and director of the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s Jazz Studies program, has a new album available on iTunes. Watson’s “Check Cashing Day” features spoken word, vocals and swing, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington and Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream Speech.”

Watson was interviewed on a recent segment of KCUR-FM’s Up to Date.
