Ancient Mummies Prove Heart Disease is as Old as We Are

Our poor diet, the environment and lack of exercise are known risk factors in heart disease. However, in new studies, Dr. Randall Thompson, associate professor of medicine at UMKC School of Medicine in Kansas City, has uncovered evidence of heart disease in the bodies of ancient mummies that may indicate a genetic link to heart ailments.
