Nomination Info For Teachers

All Bridges programs require a nomination from the student’s school ensemble director and an audition. Please note, an audition does not guarantee a spot in the program. Students accepted into our programs will receive a formal email. Once accepted, Bridges students may stay in the program until they graduate high school as long as all program requirements continue to be met. Students do not need to re-audition unless they are removed or quit the program.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
In order for students to be admitted into Conservatory Bridges, they must meet the following Academic Requirements:

  • GPA: All students must maintain a 3.0 GPA.
  • School Ensemble: Be enrolled in an ensemble each semester (choir, band, dance, jazz band, orchestra, theatre)
  • Performances: All students must take part in a performance at least once a semester. Performance opportunities vary from program to program.
  • Jury/Final: All students will have a final at the conclusion of each semester to track their progress and set personal goals for the following semester. Most programs will have a jury as a final, which is a performance for a judge where the student receives written feedback. Other programs may include a written test.

Acceptance Process

All applications will be reviewed on May 8, 2021. Students will hear by May 31 if they have been accepted into the program. Students who we wish to accept but currently do not have openings for will be put on a waitlist. Waitlisted students will also be notified by May 31.

Any students accepted into the program will have a meeting with the program coordinator and their assigned Bridges instructor in the summer to discuss program specifics. Students will then have until August 1 to accept or decline their invitation into the program. Students must submit their signed contract in order to formally accept and will begin lessons/classes the week of August 22, 2021. Students who are accepted into the program may continue in the program each year until they graduate high school as long as all Program Requirements continue to be met.
