Dana Sloter


About

Dana Sloter received a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance at Drake University in Des Moines, IA in 2013. She received a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance at Arizona State University (ASU) in 2015. Sloter was a semi-finalist in the International Clarinet Association’s 2014 Young Artist Competition and a finalist in the 2014 ASU Concert of Soloists competition. She is also a music director and pit musician, having played for productions in theaters in the Peoria, Des Moines, and Phoenix areas as both a keyboardist and woodwind doubler. She is a doctoral student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a proud alumna of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity. She currently serves as Teaching Artist of Clarinet at Drake University and maintains private studios with Sounding Sharp and the Drake University Community School of Music (DUCSOM). Her teachers include Clarence Padilla, Robert Spring, Joshua Gardner, and Jane Carl.
