UMKC is a member of the Kansas City Professional Development Council (KCPDC). Our membership provides UMKC faculty and staff access to special topics workshops, two certificate programs, and two conference opportunities at no cost to your department. KCPDC is a consortium of 10 area colleges and universities that pool funds to provide a variety of programs. Organization and program information is at www.kcpdc.org.

The Faculty Development Program includes a new, single-day format for the core program, Foundations of Teaching Excellence, an Advanced Elements of Teaching Excellence workshop, and the annual Enhancing Teaching and Learning Conference in the spring. UMKC will host the spring Foundations of Teaching Excellence spring date, February 8, 2020.
The Supervisor Development Program certificate includes six core courses and KCPDC ‘electives.’ This is a great opportunity to learn and network with higher education colleagues. The first course in the series is Critical Skills for Supervisors on Sept. 10, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Johnson County Community College.
