Our Healthy Jackson County

About the Project

Our Healthy Jackson County (OHJC) is a community-wide initiative that promotes and delivers widespread COVID-19 vaccinations and other health services to residents on the east side of Kansas City. More than 60 community organizations and health agencies are partnering with OHJC to support healthy lifestyles through vaccine events and health screenings like blood pressure checks, diabetes screenings and dental education. This is a Call to Action! Together we will Protect Jackson County. Get vaccinated! Do it for all of us.

OHJC Community and UMKC Sector Leads

OHJC equips community leaders to promote COVID-19 vaccination and health screening events with their peers. To ensure each of the four sectors (neighborhood associations, businesses, faith, and youth) are well-represented and have the support to carry-out the project, a Community Sector Lead and a UMKC Sector Lead work closely together to implement the project.
