Kangaroo Food Pantry Limited Operations
In this uncertain time, we are determined to continue our fight against food insecurity on campus. To do so, and so we can ensure the safety of our clients and our staff, the Kangaroo Food Pantry will be continuing limited operations through the Summer of 2020.
SUMMER OPERATIONS NOTICE
Thee Kangaroo Pantry is starting Summer Limited Operations. Orders will now need to be submitted by Tuesday, 12:00 PM (Noon) and order pick-ups will be scheduled within a half-hour window on Wednesday afternoons, according to client availability indicated on their order form.
The Kangaroo Food Pantry remains open to any student, staff and faculty regardless of the date of their last visit. Clients will need to place their orders by 12:00 PM (Noon) on Tuesdays in order to pick up on Wednesday afternoon at their appointed pick-up time. Orders will be available inside of the front door of the 4825 Troost building and will have your confirmation number on the bag.
HOW TO GET FOOD?
Step 1: Online Intake (if you are a new client)
If you have never visited the pantry, you will need to register as a client. To do so, please click this link or the button below and fill out the First-Time User Information Form. This is an important step and will allow us to process your order. If you have visited the pantry before, you may skip this step and start your online order with Step 2.
Step 2: Food Order
To submit your order, please click this link or the button below to fill out the Online Food Request Form. After you have submitted your order, please make sure to check your UMKC email frequently. This is the primary means of communication our team will use for the confirmation and scheduling of your order pick-up.
Clients will need to place their orders by 12:00 PM (Noon) on Tuesdays in order to pick up on Wednesday afternoon, at your designated pick-up time. Food will be available on tables inside the front door of the 4825 Troost Building.

Step 3: Order pick-up
In order to maintain client privacy, you will be given a unique confirmation number. Your bag(s) will be waiting inside the front door of the 4825 Troost Building and will be marked with your unique confirmation number. Alongside your confirmation number, you will receive an invitation to pick-up your bag(s) within a specific half-hour. This time will depend on your availability. Pick up will be by appointment on Wednesday afternoons.
The building will only be available at your pre-arranged pick up time. If you are encountering issues and are unable to make your appointment, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to find a way to help you.
