UPB strives to meet the needs and tastes of all students by offering a huge range of events. Our executive board members make sure that there’s something for everyone.
About our board
The President handles the administration of the Union Programming Board. They are responsible for overseeing the executive board and general membership (MOB) meetings as well as representing UPB on a variety of campus committees.
The Vice President implements the marketing plan for UPB and handles overseeing general membership (MOB) meetings as well as represent UPB at certain public events in the absence of the President.
Trending Topics Coordinator
The Trending Topics Coordinator plans and implements programs that enhance the UMKC experience with activities centered on service, diversity, current issues, culture, advocacy and awareness. This position raises awareness through panel discussions and lectures focusing on campus issues, current event topics, politics, diversity, human rights issues, etc.
Roos in the City Coordinator
The Roos in the City Coordinator plans and implements programs that engage UMKC students with the greater Kansas City community and provide opportunities for the cultural enrichment of UMKC students.
Fine Arts Coordinator
The Fine Arts Coordinator plans and implements programs that engage UMKC students in arts & crafts, literature, theater, dance, coffee house artists as well as other similar events.
Roo Traditions and Spirit Coordinator
The Roo Traditions and Spirit Coordinator plans and implements programs to enhance the Traditions & Spirit of the UMKC Community. They work with a variety of campus partners to enhance students’ school spirit.
After Hours Coordinators
The After Hours Coordinators plans and implements large scale late night and weekend substance-free entertainment and activities programs.
