Jenni Frangos attended the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies annual conference in Williamsburg, Virginia (March 20-22, 2014), where she chaired two panels (one on slavery and the new world, and one on Jane Austen and her contemporaries) and delivered a paper on Daniel Defoe’s _A Tour thro the Whole Island of Great Britain_ on a panel entitled “How to Read an Eighteenth-Century Page.”

Following the conference, Dr. Frangos spent 8 days in the UK researching at the British Library and the Bodleian Library at Oxford, thanks to a University of Missouri Research Board (UMRB) grant.
