In November, UMKC’s MFA students read their poetry and prose at Crows Coffee as part of the university’s ongoing Working Words series. Fresh off their appearance at the previous night’s Writers for Readers event benefiting Literacy Kansas City, author Edmund White and his husband, Michael Carroll, attended the reading and visited with students.
