Two English majors had their work published in the latest volume of Lucerna, a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal, and UMKC’s only undergraduate research journal, publishing articles by students in the social sciences, sciences and humanities.
Eliana Hudson, a junior studying creative writing, published “Education, Learning, and Knowledge: It’s in the Student’s Hands.”
Layney Viets, a secondary education major with a secondary major in English, published “The Language of Liberty: Milton’s Nationalist Linguistics.”
Dr. Laurie Ellinghausen, who serves as a faculty fellow in the Honors College, is co-advisor to Lucerna.
