The UMKC Pride Breakfast raises funds to support programs and scholarships for LGBTQIA+ students and allies at UMKC and serves as a way to show our university's support of inclusivity on campus and in our community.

A New Award for 2023

This year we're introducing the C. Stephen Metzler Pride Champion Award to recognize an individual who identifies as LGBTQIA+ or an ally and embodies Steve Metzler’s legacy of making Kansas City a better place for the LGBTQIA+ community through volunteerism, philanthropy and leading by example.

  • table for eight at the event (the 9th and 10th seats are reserved for students)

The Pride Breakfast benefits programs and scholarships for LGBTQIA+ students and allies, including the Pride Empowerment Fund, which provides emergency assistance to students experiencing financial difficulty from loss of family support.

Parking

Free parking for the event is available in the Cherry Street Parking Garage at 5000 Cherry St. on levels 5 and 6. The pedestrian walkway to Swinney Center is located on the northeast corner of Level 5.
