We do not offer refunds for our summer programs.
Most UMKC buildings are outfitted with wireless internet, which can be accessed by a UMKC username and password that changes weekly. You have two options for wifi at UMKC: secured or unsecured. At program check-in, we can provide you with that week’s guest username and password free of charge. This username and password will allow you to log-in everywhere on campus EXCEPT UMKC Residence Halls and is unsecured. Participants can purchase access to secure wifi for $35.
For participants who will be driving to campus each day, we recommend purchasing a weekly parking permit. These permits are available for a $25 fee and will allow one week of parking in UMKC Student lots. To purchase a permit, please indicate so on your registration form. Permits will be available to pick up at program check-in. If you choose not to purchase a permit in advance, you may also do so during the week of your program by visiting the UMKC Parking Office.
Please note: Parking permits are good for UMKC STUDENT LOTS only, and your permit must be displayed at all times when parked in Student lots. Parking in UMKC Faculty/Staff or Metered Parking lots may result in a ticket, even if your student permit is displayed. Please read all signs carefully! UMKC Conservatory Summer Programs are not responsible for tickets issued.
Summers in Kansas City are hot and humid. University rooms and the dorms are air conditioned, but summer clothing is recommended. You may want to bring a sweater if you get chilly in air conditioning.
