Location and Parking
We expect that most students will be dropped off and picked up each day, which means parents will only need to park during check-in and the finale concert. However, should students be driving themselves, we do have parking information available below.
Program check-in and orientation for all participants will take place in the lobby of the James C. Olson Performing Arts Center (4949 Cherry St, Kansas City, MO). We have reserved level 4 of the Cherry Street Parking Garage for participant parking. Participants are to check in according to last name. During check-in, each participant will receive a t-shirt, name tag, and final schedule. The orientation meeting will take place immediately following check-in. After the orientation meeting students will meet their ensemble’s lead assistant and main campus chaperone, who will lead them to their group’s rehearsal space.
James C. Olson Performing Arts Center (PAC) (4949 Cherry St., Kansas City, MO 64110), we will have the 4th floor of the Cherry Street Parking Garage reserved on Friday evening, but on Saturdays and Sundays campus parking is free. The 4th floor of the garage has a ramp that leads directly to the PAC. Additional parking on Saturdays and Sundays is available on the east side of the building. Students can also be dropped off on the south side of the PAC, just in front of the main entrance.
Student Union (5100 Cherry St., Kansas City, MO 64110), side street parking is available on Cherry Street just outside the building. We will also have the 4th floor of the Cherry Street Parking Garage reserved on Friday evening, but on Saturdays and Sundays campus parking is free.
Student Success Center (5000 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO 64110), metered parking is available on the north side of the building for $1.25 per hour the AMP parking app. Parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays. Students also may be dropped off on the north side of the building.
Grant Hall (5228 Charlotte Street, Kansas City, MO 64110), students can be dropped off outside the main doors on the east side of the building, or park in the metered lot (yellow) on the south side of the building for $1.25 per hour via our AMP parking app. Parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Sunday dress rehearsal and Finale Concert will occur at the Community of Christ Temple (1001 W Walnut St, Independence, MO 64050).
Please note: There are many lots that may be free on Saturdays and Sundays. Please read all signs carefully when parking; parking illegally or in Faculty/Staff lots may result in a ticket. UMKC is not responsible for parking tickets acquired by participants or visitors to campus.
The UMKC Conservatory Honor Choir Festival is not responsible for any parking fees incurred during the duration of the event.
