2022 Tuition Fees

Tuition includes all classes and scheduled events during the camp. Please note that this fee does not include meals, parking, or housing.

  • Early Bird Tuition:  $449 (deadline April 11)
  • Standard Tuition:  $499 (deadline May 23)

Meals (optional): 
There are two optional meal plans available to participants, or participants are welcome to bring their own lunch. Please visit the Meals section on UMKC Campus Information page for more details.

Optional Extras:

  • On-Campus Housing:  $300 
    Participants who choose to stay on campus will be housed in a UMKC residence hall for 5 nights (June 5-10, 2022). This fee includes WiFi access and bed linens. For more information about on-campus housing, see our page: UMKC Campus Information.
  • On-Campus parking permit:  $25
    This will allow participants to park in any UMKC Student Parking Lot. Parking is limited on campus, so a permit is strongly encouraged for those who will be bringing a car. Advance parking permits must be purchased by May 23, 2022. After this date, parking permits may be purchased by visiting the UMKC Parking office.
  • Meals: Lunch-only:  $70
    Recommended for those commuting to campus. Lunch vouchers will be applicable to all lunches provided during the workshop. Meals will occur on the UMKC campus. Breakfast and dinner are not included in this option.
  • Meals: Full day:  $175
    Recommended for those staying in the dorms. Meals will occur on the UMKC campus. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided in this option.

All forms and fees are due by Monday, May 23, 2022.

Refund Policy:
We do not offer refunds for our summer programs. All fees and deposits are non-refundable.

If the UMKC Composition Workshop is canceled by UMKC, a full refund will be issued.
