While at Georgia State University, Anya served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Wind Orchestra, and Concert Band; taught basic and instrumental conducting courses; and assisted with the 225-member marching band. In addition, she worked as the assistant band director at Charles R. Drew Charter School, and was an assistant conductor of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestras of Atlanta (MYSO). Her role with MYSO included conducting weekly rehearsals with both the junior and senior ensembles, understudying the principal conductor, and assisting with programming for all public performances.

As a clinician, Anya has had the pleasure of working with many outstanding groups across Canada and the United States. She was a recipient of the CBDNA Mike Moss Conducting Grant, and, after a competitive audition process, was selected as a participant in the inaugural Reynolds Conducting Institute at the Midwest Clinic in 2018. Anya was co-published in the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles  Journal and has presented professionally at the Saskatchewan Music Conference. Anya was the editing assistant for the recently released “Wind Music” (Albany Records) which features 20th and 21st century works by composers Robert Spittal, Leslie Bassett, Tim Jansa, Esther W. Ballou, Daniel Pinkham, and Ezra Laderman.
