Ashley Harder wins award

The department would like to congratulate Ashley Harder who received the UMKC Department of Chemistry American Chemical Society Inorganic Award. Ashley is a senior graduating in May 2017 and has worked in Prof. Peng’s group performing research.

The UMKC Department of Chemistry American Chemical Society Inorganic Award recognizes the achievements by undergraduate students in inorganic chemistry and hopes to encourage students to pursue further study in the field.  This award is sponsored by the American Chemical Society, Division of Inorganic Chemistry, and administered by VIPEr (Virtual Inorganic Pedagogical Electronic Resource).

Chemistry Undergraduate Students Named to the Dean’s List

For the Fall 2016 semester, the Department of Chemistry had over 40 students named to the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Dean’s List.  The Dean’s List acknowledges outstanding academic performance for full-time undergraduate students with a grade point average of 3.85 or higher for a given academic term.  Congratulations to all of our undergraduates named to the Dean’s List.
