Seminar March 23: Prof. Mehdizadeh, UMKC
Assistant Professor Amirfarhang Mehdizadeh will be presenting at the Department of Chemistry Seminar on March 23, 2017. He will be delivering a talk entitled “High Reynolds Number Turbulent Flows: Modeling and Simulation” (Abstract). Dr. Mehdizadeh recently joined the Civil and Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. His research focuses on developing advanced hybrid (U)RANS/LES turbulence models to predict unsteady dynamics of complex turbulent flows.

Graduate Write-In on March 23, 2017
On March 23, 2017, there will be a Graduate Write-In held in Spencer Hall Room 211. The write-in is a time to work on your writing skills. This includes writing papers for peer-review journals, proposals, essays for projects, or even a time to work on your CV. The event will be hosted by Prof. David Van Horn. There are two sessions:

3 hrs Writing (Individual review or coaching appointments, to be arranged.)
15-20 mins Wrap up/in-group discussion on what accomplished.
Lunch will be from 12:15 – 12:45 pm and will overlap with both the morning and evening sessions.
