One of the big challenges in business is dealing with uncertainty. In this workshop, we’ll discuss the basic framework for how to make financially solid decisions that minimize risk and maximize return. The focus of this workshop is on managing for value.
Real-world case studies will provide the opportunity to evaluate the financial implications of strategic decisions. You will practice framing an issue and then applying financial logic to make sound recommendations.

Nathan Mauck, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City
Nathan has specialized his research and teaching in the areas of corporate finance, international finance, financial modeling, firm valuation, mergers and acquisitions, and venture financing. He has over 20 peer-reviewed academic publications and his work has been featured in popular press publications such as The Wall Street Journal. Nathan is a favorite instructor of students at the Bloch School and has won numerous teaching awards.

The sessions will be held at the UMKC Bloch Executive Hall, 5108 Cherry Street, Kansas City, Missouri. Parking details will be mailed after registration.
Cancellation & Transfer Policy:
Seminar participants (or their organizational representative) should call or email Bloch Executive Education to change or cancel registrations. Cancellations made prior to 7 days from the seminar date are eligible for credit towards a future seminar but are ineligible for refund. Credit for future seminar is valid through the following seminar year. Seminar registrations may be transferred from one individual to another up to 7 days before any elected seminar. Cancellations made within 7 days from the seminar date are non-transferable and non-refundable. Bloch Executive Education reserves the right to make changes to the cancellation policy and transfer policy. The current policies will be posted on our website and will be observed regardless of previous policies or standards. “No-shows” are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
