Instructor: David Renz, PhD, director emeritus of the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership at UMKCDates for this four-day in-person program:
October 19, 26, November 2 and 9, 2024 (9a-Noon).Allyship training invites and encourages people who have privilege, advantage, and status to use those assets to improve workplace equity. Research shows that allyship training produces a range of benefits for workers in marginalized groups–reduced stress, increased happiness, and higher productivity.
The focus of these workshops will be to help participants understand the importance of allyship, their roles as allies, how to integrate creativity into their allyship practice, and how to implement allyship in the workplace. The workshops will focus on practical skills and behaviors, not changing ideology or belief systems.
In these turbulent times it is critical to embrace change. On select Tuesdays we will present tools nonprofits can utilize to innovate and excel in today’s environment – building the foundation for a promising future. MCNL’s Navigation Series creates an interactive virtual community to learn and share the ideas nonprofits need to be successful.
