Level 1: EntreLab
Level 1 is home to EntreLab, a new initiative providing mentoring, advice and access to resources for would-be entrepreneurs in the initial idea phase. Funded by a grant from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the EntreLab has space for 15-30 participants at a time and offers the following:
- Space for entrepreneurs to meet with mentors and attend educational programming facilitated by the Bloch School
- Access to the start-up resources of other UMKC programs, such as KCSourceLink and the Entrepreneurial Legal Services Clinic
- Opportunities to engage informally with peers and industry experts
Level 2: Start-up Incubator
Level 2 is a start-up incubator that serves as a first home for launch-stage ventures. With space for seven to 10 such start-ups, Level 2 provides access to the same resources offered within EntreLab, as well as dedicated work space, shared resources and a full roster of Regnier Institute mentors. Level 2 promotes the “collision factor” of a co-working space and encourages idea-sharing, problem solving and synergy.
Level 3: Scale-up Incubator
Level 3 houses a scale-up incubator for ventures that are gaining traction and require more space to grow. Ventures avoid the risk of traditional, long-term leases and have access to services, programming and mentors who can provide industry-specific advice tailored to the growth phase.
