Students presented their cases April 24 for the sixth annual Strategic Management Case Competition. This year’s live case subject was Freightquote, a Kansas City area online freight shipping provider.
Bloch faculty worked with Freightquote’s executive team, including Tim Barton, Founder and CEO, Matt Druten, President, Doug Grojean, Vice President of Operations and Julie Schaller, Executive Director of Human Resources, to develop a case study about Freightquote’s recent recruiting challenges
As part of the undergraduate capstone experience, three competing teams presented their recommendations to Freightquote executives and a panel of judges comprised of Kansas City area business leaders.
The winning team members were Ernest Armah (B.B.A.), Mark Buergler (B.B.A.), Connor Coday (B.S.A.), Jacob Halpern (B.B.A.) and Julie Whistman (B.B.A.). Each member of the winning team received a $1000 scholarship that can be applied to any Bloch School graduate program.
