Yuliana Onopriyenko, B.S.A., was presented the 2015 Academic Award by the Kansas City chapter of Financial Executives International on April 13. This award is presented annually to outstanding students in the areas of finance or accounting. Onopriyenko was one of four students selected for the prestigious award from universities in Kansas and Missouri.
FEI is the preeminent association connecting senior-level financial executives. The Kansas City chapter has approximately 200 members representing area companies and organizations. The annual student awards are central to FEI’s mission.
“FEI is committed to developing the next generation of finance and accounting leaders,” said Mike Manning, president of the FEI Kansas City chapter. “FEI Kansas City is proud to partner with the business faculties of universities across our region to promote excellence and to celebrate these promising young adults’ academic achievements.”
This marks the second year in a row a Bloch student has received an honor from FEI Kansas City. Alex Chang, B.B.A. ’14, was named “Best of the Best” by the chapter in 2014.
