KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Council for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the UMKC Henry W. Bloch School of Management have announced the honorees for the 27th Annual Entrepreneur of the Year Awards celebration.
Dinner chairs for this year’s event are Peter and Michelle deSilva . Pete deSilva president and chief operating officer for UMB Financial.
This year’s honorees are:
International Entrepreneur of the Year: Brian Lamb, founder and executive chairman of C-SPAN C-SPAN is the American cable network which provides coverage of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate as well as other public affairs events Regional Entrepreneur of the Year: John McDonald, founder, Boulevard Brewery.
Founded in 1989, Boulevard Brewing Company has grown to be the largest specialty brewer in the Midwest, with full or partial distribution in 19 states currently.
Marion and John Kreamer Award for Entrepreneurship in Volunteer Community Service: Robert D. Regnier, Victor A. Regnier, and Catherine M. Regnier
Victor and Helen Regnier Family Foundation The dinner will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 16 (location to be announced). Proceeds from the dinner benefit the Bloch School’s Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, one of Kansas City’s premiere resources for educating and creating the next generation of entrepreneurs.
