Advising
It is imperative that students in our programs-of-study meet with an adviser each semester. Your success depends on creating a plan of study early in your studies at UMKC. This plan of study maps out a progression of courses that will lead to completion of the program. This plan of study should also assist you in determining the time and financial resources necessary for degree completion.

General Education Requirement and Degree Audits:
In addition to meeting with their advisors, students also have a responsibility to keep track of their own progress. UMKC offers major maps with suggested milestones to track your progress. UMKC also offers an online degree audit system (DARS) where students can see where they stand in terms of degree requirements.
Questions about the College of Arts and Sciences requirements and General Education requirements should be directed to staff in the College of Arts and Sciences Advising Office in Room 09 in the lower level of Scofield Hall. Current Arts & Sciences students should log-in to Connect (through Blackboard) and schedule your appointment online.
