The UDIC group under the leadership of Dr. Yuji Lee received an official award notification from the NSF on February 6th, 2018.
The project, entitled “Phase I IUCRC University of Missouri-Kansas City: Center for Big Learning (CBL),”
This award starts February 1, 2018 and ends January 31, 2023.
This award is expected to total $749,980. (from NSF). Together with Industry grants, it will be more than $1.5M.

Saria has recently received an internship offer for summer 2018 at Mayo Clinic. We like to mention here that our alumni PhD student Feichen Shen currently works as a Research Associate at Mayo Clinic.
The new member of the UDIC research group, Gharib Gharibi, who joined the group January 2018 has won the first place for the podium presentation contest at the Community of Scholars event. The events was organized by the School of Graduate Studies and the Graduate Student Council, in which Gharib also serves as a board member. Congratulation Gharib!
