For my part I recorded the population for veterans and race and I compared the Midtown population to the Kansas City, MO population.

Overall the veteran population in Valentine decreased from 1970 to 2020.

Using census data I was able to put these graphs together that show the race population from 1940 to 2020. Until 1980, there was not much change in the race population with white being over 80% of the population in Midtown and Kansas City. After 1990 is when we can start seeing more of an increase in the category for “other” races.
