Hello! I am Matiara Huff, I’m a senior here at UMKC. I am majoring in Theater with an emphasis in Lighting Design. I am also minoring in Women’s and Gender Studies.
This is my third year working at the Women’s Center, and I am excited to be back! I love working here because the Women’s Center creates an environment that allows for positive discourse on feminism to take place. I have, on many occasions, learned and taught others.
A couple of my goals for my time working at the Women’s Center are 1) to learn how to properly discuss social issues in a way that I can make people want to get involved, and 2) actually change a few people’s negative opinions toward feminism or other social issues.
