Hello, there! My name is Korrien Hopkins I am a freshman here at UMKC majoring in Communication Studies with an emphasis on Film, Media Arts, Journalism and Mass Communications. My goal is to bring positivity to the media through film and writing. I want to enlighten the youth because they are our future. The media has a great advantage; if used correctly, it will allow us to see that if we all took the time to learn something about one another we would see that we are actually not very different.
I am very excited to be working here at the Womens Center. I am looking forward to working with the staff here to help advocate, educate, and provide supportive services to this campus and community. I strongly stand behind the mission to promote feminism throughout college campuses, communities, and the world because I believe this is what is needed for us to progress as people.
