Walk a Mile in Her Shoes on Sept. 14

Registration Fee: Students: $15 with own shoes; $20 with our shoes; Non-students: $30 with own shoes; $50 with our shoes. Registration fee includes a t-shirt.
This event asks men to walk a mile in women’s high-heeled shoes. Walking in women’s shoes helps men better understand and appreciate women’s experiences, thus changing perspectives, helping improve gender relationships and decreasing the potential for violence. Prizes will be awarded for best teams, individuals, etc. Registration is required for this event.
All proceeds benefit the UMKC Violence Prevention and Response Project and the Kansas City Anti-Violence Project.
