Daniel Pauly Named New Cardiology Section Chief

Daniel Pauly, M.D., Ph.D., started this month as Cardiology Section Chief at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and partner hospital Truman Medical Center.

Pauly will provide leadership, support and mentoring of cardiology faculty and students in their clinical, research and educational efforts. He is a professor in the department of biomedical and health informatics, which has a mission to produce the next generation of health investigators by using innovative electronic information systems. Pauly’s patient research focuses on genetic factors that lead to heart failure.

Pauly comes from the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he served as a professor of medicine with clinical duties at the University of Florida Health Science Center.
