The School of Computing and Engineering E-Week Blood Drive will be held from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28 in room 557 in Flarsheim Hall. The drive is sponsored by the student chapters of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers and Engineers Without Borders.
Our Kansas City community uses up to 600 units of blood in one day, and there is a critical shortage of blood. The unit of blood each donor provides usually saves two lives. To make an appointment –
- Send an email to Jane Vogl, site coordinator, your preferred time to donate. Slots are open every 15 minutes from 9 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
- Register online, click on schedule an appointment and enter the code: SCE. Then click on search to access the link to this drive’s appointment page.
Your donation also will help UMKC again gain recognition as a 2013 Community Star Organization (400 plus units donated in a calendar year) by the Community Blood Center.
If you have questions or need additional information, contact Janet Vogl or call the Community Blood Center of Greater Kansas City at 1-800-245-7035.
