Join the UMKC Libraries and UMKC Friends of the Library in the celebration of Black History Month by participating in the 24th National African American Read-In. Participate as a listener or by sharing any work written by African American authors.
This 2013 theme is “Heritage and Heroes,” celebrating works written by African American authors who show bravery, courage and leadership in the context of African American culture and traditions.
- Feb 20 – 3:00 – 4:30 p.m., Miller Nichols Library – iX Theatre
- Feb 28 – noon – 1:30 p.m., Diastole Scholars Center, 2501 Holmes
