[The following was provided by the UMKC Honors Program.]
On Wednesday Oct. 31, approximately 80 members of the UMKC Honors Program organized a Halloween event at the Ewing Marion Kauffman School, performing three short skits about safe trick-or-treating for approximately 200 5th and 6th graders.
Once the serious stuff was out of the way, the students received treats as they passed by themed stations, created by the honors students.
Thanks to the ongoing community partnership between the Kauffman School and the UMKC Honors Program. And, we extend a special thanks to the members of the Honors Student Advisory Council, organizers of the event.
