The Mark Twain Writers Workshop at UMKC hosts An Evening of Prose, featuring three prominent writers from this region: novelist Michael Pritchett and editor/writers Speer Morgan and Robert Stewart.
Stewart edits UMKC’s international magazine of writing and art, New Letters, and also has published an award-winning book of essays, Outside Language; and Speer Morgan, edits the Missouri Review and directs Creative Writing at UM. Pritchett is an associate professor at UMKC and an award-winning fiction writer.
The event takes place Wednesday, June 13 at 6:30 p.m. in Room 104 of Cockefair Hall on the UMKC campus. Free parking is available in the parking lot behind Cockefair Hall.
This evening is sponsored by the Bernardin-Haskell Lecture Fund in the UMKC College of Arts and Sciences. Affiliated sponsors are New Letters and the Department of English MFA Program in Creative Writing and Media Arts.
