[The following was provided by UMKC University Libraries.]

In Spring 2011, UMKC University Libraries invited faculty and staff to participate in a survey to help measure the effectiveness of our libraries’ space and services. The LibQual+ survey is a rigorously tested Web-based, nationally normed assessment tool.

Results of the 2011 survey results, analysis and progress report are now available online.

Survey results indicate that UMKC University Libraries is doing well and should continue or expand:

  • Quality Service you receive from our staff
  • Library instruction we provide
  • Interlibrary Loan services
  • Online convenience to scholarly information
  • Online research tools available where you are
  • Newly renovated spaces

More importantly, results also offered data regarding areas to change in order to better serve users.

  • Access to all print and electronic articles and books that you need when you need it
  • More electronic resources
  • More quiet study space at all of our libraries
  • A library website that lets you easily locate what you need
  • Updated and well maintained library spaces
  • Modern equipment that allows you to access what you need
  • Additional hours at all of our libraries

Visit the report website to learn more about the survey findings and the ways we are taking action.
