Conservatory performs in Crossroads as preview for big New York event

On Friday, March 2, 8:00 p.m., UMKC’s Conservatory of Music and Dance composers and faculty will perform in Kansas City’s Crossroads District at OfficePort, 208 W. 19th Street.

The event is a preview of the Conservatory’s performance on March 9 at New York City’s (le) poisson rouge. Featured composers for the Kansas City event are Chen Yi, James Mobberley, Narong Prangcharoen, Paul Rudy, John Corigliano, Nicholas Omiccioli, and many other Conservatory faculty.

The evening will also include excerpts from Zhou Long’s Pulitzer Prize-winning opera Madame White Snake.
