On Sept. 27, UMKC’s Provost’s Office and the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management are launching a new early warning system called UFirst, which has been built into our existing Blackboard course management system.

UFirst can be used for all undergraduate students to help monitor their progress in the classroom as well help to connect students to academic and student support services on campus. It is an important tool we have at our disposal to positively impact student success and the retention of students through degree attainment – which are key elements in both UMKC’s Strategic Plan and Gov. Nixon’s plan for higher education in Missouri.

Thank you to all undergraduate instructors who are a part of UFirst.

If you have additional questions about UFirst, please contact Doug Swink, Registrar or Tammy Welchert, Student Services Coordinator in the School of Biological Sciences.
