UMKC hosts Mayoral Candidate Debate, Saturday, March 5

On Saturday, March 5, UMKC will host a Mayoral Candidate Debate at Pierson Auditorium, 10 a.m. – noon.

As the designated liaison for interaction with Jackson County and Municipal Officials, the university’s Office of Community and Public Affairs has helped plan the event in partnership with community planners, including the Hispanic Chamber’s Young Latino Professionals and the Young Adult Branch of the Kansas City NAACP.

Also supporting planning efforts are UMKC student organizations such as Student Government Association, TAASU (The African American Student Union); and ALAS (Association of Latin American Students).
