Smoking-Cessation Programs
Saint Luke’s LIFEWISE EAP
UMKC partners with Saint Luke’s LIFEWISE EAP to offer EAP services to UMKC employees and their immediate family members. To learn more call 816-931-3073; 800-327-1223 or email EAPinfo@saintlukeskc.org.
United Healthcare Quit For Life Program
The Quit for Life Program is a phone and web-based program that offers online tools and support to help members quit cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaping, and other tobacco products. Resources include online tools and support, a 1-on-1 quit coach to help create a customized quit plan, a text support program, and nicotine replacement therapy. Quit for Life is available to UM System employees with university medical insurance through UnitedHealthcare. For online access, login through myUHC and navigate to the Health & Wellness Rally option.
ExpressScripts
Selected smoking cessation medications are available through the UM prescription drug program with a prescription from your physician. Please log in to Express Scripts or call 800-955-1201 to determine if your smoking cessation medication is available at a $0 copay. Contact your physician or ExpressScripts Customer Service at 1-800-955-1201 for more information.

Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, this quit line offers free information, consultations, counseling and an intensive telephone-based cessation program. Services include specialized materials, a quit kit and three additional calls with a dedicated specialist, and are offered in any language. Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Kansas Residents
Sponsored by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, and provided by the American Cancer Society, this quit line offers screening, counseling, support materials and referrals for tobacco cessation assistance (based on an individual’s readiness to quit).
