50th Anniversary fundraising update
Since July 2014, when the SGS 50th Anniversary celebration began, we have raised a total of $15,780 toward our $20,000. We are incredibly grateful to all our donors, and we hope you all will help us to keep up the momentum to reach our goal. Most of the funds thus far have been directed toward the Ron MacQuarrie Graduate Student Fellowship Fund to directly help UMKC’s graduate students. This fund was established in honor of former Dean Ron MacQuarrie and his service to the university and its graduate students.
Save the Date – Community of Scholars
The annual Community of Scholars event, sponsored by the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Student Council and the School of Graduate Studies, is earlier than usual this year. Rather than May, the event will be on Thursday, April 23rd on the fourth floor of the Student Union. More information will be sent in the coming months regarding the symposium, posters, awards, and the schedule of events.
