“Are You Smarter Than a UMKC Graduate Student?”

This exciting fundraiser, held at Snow & Co. on October 30, 2014, 7-9 pm, will mirror the game show “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” We have polled UMKC graduate students, and we have their answers ready to compare to yours on some general knowledge 1st through 5th grade questions.

Proceeds from this fun fundraiser, co-sponsored by Snow & Co., will benefit the Ronald A. MacQuarrie Graduate Fellowship Fund to support graduate student scholarships.

Tickets for this event are $25 each or $45 for two. A $50 “bronze” ticket per person will get your name engraved on a leaf for our Tree of Knowledge, to adorn a wall in the graduate school. Please mindfully consider giving to ensure a bright future for UMKC students. Donations of $50 to $499 will have your name engraved on a bronze leaf, $500 to $4,999 is a silver leaf, and $5,000 to $9,999 earns the generous donor a gold leaf.  Gifts greater than $10,000 will have their names engraved on a platinum leaf.

Registration will be available online.  Watch the School of Graduate Studies website for a new blog posting with the RSVP website available in late September:     http://sgs.umkc.edu/sgsblog/

Deadline for the following fellowships is Fri., November 21, 2014 by 5:00pm:

  • SGS Research Grant
  • MAG Fellowship
