Interdisciplinary Student Conference Dates Moved
Previously coinciding with the Community of Scholars event in April, the ISC will now coincide with Graduate Education Week in October. Graduate Education Week is October 9-15, 2016 and the Interdisciplinary Student Conference will be October 14-15, 2016 in the Administrative Center conference area.
Fellowship Application Deadlines Moved Up
Previously due during the month of November, the SGS fellowship and grant applications are due this year on October 17, 2016. Please visit http://sgs.umkc.edu/fellowships-and-grants/ to learn about these awards and find their applications for the 2017-18 school year.
Community of Scholars Date Moved
The Community of Scholars symposium and awards, previously in April, will be held on February 9, 2017. This will be merged with the Three-Minute Thesis competition as well. Mark your calendars!
Nomination Deadline for Outstanding Dissertation Moved Up
The Outstanding Dissertation award winner is recognized at our annual Community of Scholars event. Since the awards ceremony has moved, the awards competition has also moved. The new deadline for nominations from faculty for the Outstanding Dissertation is Friday, September 9, 2016. Eligible dissertations are those submitted in Spring 2016 and Summer 2016.
