UMKC Human Resources finished Phase I of the Staff Job Title and Salary Project (GGS). This study evaluated about 600 administrative job titles at UMKC in an effort to simplify and improve job classification titles and compensation. Market data was collected and pay ranges have been developed, with a new job hierarchy and compensation structure for the University.
The results of Phase I include 18 pay ranges in a single structure, and there has been extensive job title consolidation. Phase II, which is currently in progress, will incorporate additional title consolidation.
