Dr. Ron MacQuarrie, Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and Dean of Graduate Studies will be retiring on April 7, 2011 after 37 years of service at UMKC. In 1973, MacQuarrie began his tenure as an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry where he taught and implemented research. In 1995 he accepted the position as Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, and in 2007 he took on the additional role as the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs. MacQuarrie has also served as professor in the Division of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in the School of Biological Sciences over the years.
MacQuarrie’s contributions to UMKC have been countless and his influence and humble leadership will be greatly missed. Join us in celebration of his legend:
