We’re No.1 //

The Journal of Product Innovation Management ranked UMKC No. 1 in the world out of 600 colleges in innovation management research.

New program //

The first courses in UMKC’s new Latina/Latino Studies program will be offered in the summer and fall.

Teaming up //

UMKC now partners with Missouri State University (MSU) to allow MSU students to enroll in UMKC’s Doctor of Pharmacy program.

Musical masterpiece //

Wei Shen, a master student in the Conservatory of Music and Dance, performed with famed cellist Yo-Yo Ma at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

Granting knowledge //

UMKC received a $20 million grant from the NIH to fund Frontiers, a program that bridges the gap between knowledge generation and clinical practice.

A big idea //

Leaders named a downtown arts campus to the Greater KC Chamber’s list of “Big 5 Ideas.” Feasibility studies for the potential UMKC project are underway.
