The new Student Success Center opened on Aug. 20, just in time for the first day of fall classes. Housed in what was previously the University Center, the remodeled facility is home to various student support and academic services, including two new services: UMKC Central and University College. Also located inside is the Welcome Center and the barbershop. The Student Success Center was born out of a collaboration between students and the university and is designed to promote academic success, convenience and student retention. The university will dedicate the center on Oct. 5.
